We are committed to ensure all Stark County residents have the use of each of our 10 locations comfortably, while also ensuring everyone has approachable access to technology and electronic resources.
Read below to learn more about how all 10 of Stark Library's locations are accessible venues. We have also listed out accessibility options, per location, with convenient drop-down menus below.Â

New Assistive Technology Packs
ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY PACKS (2 different options available)
The Time Management pack allows users to explore things like a Watch Minder and Magnetic Checklists as options to help manage time.
With the Reading Kit pack, compare the LeapFrog System against a CPen which can help foster a love of reading.
Both Packs were made possible by the generosity of Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Packs are available for those ages 14-22, in-library use (only) at these following locations:
- Main Library
- East Canton Branch
- Lake Community Branch
- Plain Community Branch
Please ask staff for pack availability and assistance.Â

Service Animals are welcome at all Stark Library locations.
Our Books by Mail program offers library materials delivered directly to your door.
For convenience, all digital titles are automatically returned on their due date.
Our Self-Checkout centers offer a quick and easy way to check-out your library materials, and are wheelchair accessible.
Authorized users are able to pick-up library materials on your behalf at any of our 10 locations.
Stark Library offers Braille on signage at all 9 Branches and will also include it in our New Main Library.Â
We have a variety of Large Print Books available in our Collection.
We also have a large selection of both CD Audiobooks and Digital Audiobooks available.
When you search our Catalog for DVDs, using search words "Video recordings for people with visual disabilities," you will receive described audio.
All 10 Stark Library locations feature accessible parking spaces, along with ramped entrances (where applicable).
Most public desktop computers are wheelchair accessible, and laptops are also available for use inside the library.
Internet2Go Kits are available for check-out.
