Our Winter Reading Challenge is open to all ages! As the temperatures drop, there’s no better time to get cozy with a good
book and your favorite warm drink. Whether you’re keeping the kids entertained indoors or looking for a little escape yourself, our Winter Reading Challenge is the perfect way to brighten those chilly days.

How to Register

Starting December 15 register your whole family at Beanstack to start tracking your reading! You can do this on your computer or on Beanstack’s mobile app. Each family member can sign up for their reading program to start logging their progress. If you have participated in any of our previous summer or winter challenges, you likely already have an account. Then, just start reading to earn tickets for a drawing at the end of the challenge! And the prizes are great!

What should I read?

Don’t know where to start? You are welcome to read whatever you wish during the program, but if you need a little inspiration, we’re here to help. Check out the staff lists below for some great ideas, use our My Next Read service for personalized suggestions from our Librarians, or stop by any of our locations and we’ll be glad point you to new titles. If you can’t come into the library, just give us a call!

How do I earn tickets?

Pick up a reading tracker bookmark at any Stark Library location or log your reading through the Beanstack app or website. For every 5 days you read, you’ll earn a raffle ticket for the grand prize drawings (1 ticket = 1 entry). At 15 days, you can choose a small prize at any location. At 25 days, you’ll earn a free book to keep! You’ll have until February 8 to log your reading, and the grand prize drawing will take place on February 10. Don’t miss this fun and rewarding way to stay warm this winter!
