Ready for School Program

This program is designed for families with children birth to age 5 (not in Kindergarten). Our School Readiness Specialists will meet with you at any Stark Library branch, every other month, to discuss your learning goals for your child. Whether it’s letter and number knowledge, letter sounds, or hand-eye coordination, we’ll provide you with lessons and free age-appropriate activity kits, books included, based on the six early literacy skills. Plus, you don’t have to return the activity kits - they’re for you to keep.

Homework Help for K-3rd Graders

If your child is struggling with homework, we’ve got you covered with that, too – it’s true, raising children takes a village. Families with children in kindergarten through the third grade, can schedule homework sessions with School Readiness Specialists to provide the students with tools to successfully complete their homework. Students must have homework assigned by their teacher to participate in Homework Help.

Children, big and small, all need help during their learning journey! With free resources, books, and one-on-one support from us, getting started is as easy as 1-2-3.
