    Up to 50 total items may be borrowed per Library card. Total item limit may differ for Educator cards and tech devices, etc.

    You can renew online using My Account, or come into any of our locations to renew an item. Most items checked out on your card may be renewed up to 20 times online or by calling 330.452.0665. Some items (such as devices) may not be renewed.

    Most items may be renewed automatically up to four times, with auto-renewal. 

    • An item will not be automatically renewed if another patron has placed a hold on it.
    • Items checked out on an educator card will not be automatically renewed.
    • Items checked out to homebound patrons will only automatically renew one time.
    • If you have unpaid fees exceeding $25.00, your items will not be automatically renewed.

    There are no fines for overdue items, as long as they are returned within four weeks of the due date.

    Fees will be charged for unreturned, lost, dam­aged, or missing items. You may not borrow or renew items if unpaid fees exceed $25.00.

    • We will send a courtesy reminder by email or text two (2) days before an item is due.
    • One week after an item is due, we’ll send the 1st overdue notice by phone, email, or text.
    • Two weeks after an item is due, we’ll send the 2nd overdue notice by phone, email, or text.
    • Four weeks after an item is due, we’ll mail you an invoice which will include the cost of the item plus a $5 processing fee.

    Patrons who have a fee balance of $25 or more may be sent to the Library's collection agency.

    You may pay your library fees online, by phone, or in person. All Stark Library locations accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards. Restrictions may apply.

    No, you may return library materials to any Stark Library location, including book drops and bookmobiles.

    Call or stop into the library to report the card as lost. If you would like a new card, please come to the Library with a valid ID.

    To change your contact information or preferred method of contact, log into My Account or ask a librarian. Please keep your information up-to-date, so that you receive important notifications from the Library.

    Yes. The Library values what you do as teachers, and the educator’s card is one way we can support your work. With these cards, you can check out material for your class, daycare, or homeschool environment for a longer period – six weeks! We’ll even help you with lit kits (multiple copies of the same book) and classroom units, customized to your curriculum. More about this on our educator resources page!
