Come in from the cold and dive into a good book! Our Winter Reading Challenge runs January 1st – 31st, and this year offers a whole new lineup of grand prizes up for grabs. Once you register, snuggle up with your preferred reading material—book, e-reader, comic, magazine, or more—and make January your month of reading fun.
How to Register
The challenge is open to all ages! Registration begins December 15 through Beanstack, where you’ll track your reading.
- Visit Beanstack online or download the mobile app.
- New to Beanstack? Sign up in minutes. Already a pro? Just log in and start reading!
- Every day you read brings you closer to earning raffle tickets for our grand prize drawings.
Earn Tickets & Rewards
Once you’ve started reading, track your days with a bookmark from any Stark Library location and/or online on Beanstack.
- 5 days: Earn a raffle ticket every 5 days for up to 6 tickets for the grand prize drawings (1 ticket = 1 entry).
- 15 days: Pick up a small prize at any location.
- 25 days: Pick up another small prize AND receive a FREE book to keep!
The challenge ends January 31, but you have until February 8 to log your reading. Winners will be drawn on February 10.

- Elementary: Squirrel Feeder, Terrarium Grow Kit, Wintergarden Picture Book
