As we get closer to our move to 1020 Market Ave N., something special is happening on the first floor of our Main Library—and you’re invited to be part of it!
Introducing Make Your Mark at Main—a celebration of creativity, memories, and community. From now until we move, our walls are your canvas. Library staff will have markers ready for you to leave a doodle, write a kind message, or treat the wall like your personal coloring book. There are four themed stations, each with its own unique activity:
✨ Memory Wall
Right as you enter the Library, you’ll find the Memory Wall—a space to share your favorite moments from current Main, leave well wishes, or sketch something sweet as we prepare to “book it” to 1020 Market.
👾 Monster Returns
To the left of the Circulation Desk, you’ll spot some monster-ful mayhem. These wild creatures are hungry for returns and even hungrier for color! Add your flair by coloring them in or creating your own mischievous (or kind!) creature.
📚 Design A Spine
Under the stairs, a giant bookshelf awaits your touch! Fill in a book spine—whether it’s a favorite classic, a bestseller you love, or something entirely made up. With inspiration all around you in the stacks, there’s no wrong choice.
🖍️ Stained Glass Colors
Facing the elevators, the glass has been sectioned off with blue painter’s tape to create a stained-glass effect. Channel your inner artist and help us turn sunlight into sparkle. To paraphrase a movie about a certain llama-turned-emperor: “When the sun hits the atrium skylight just right, this library will glow.”

All the words have already been found (shoutout to the word search warriors who solved it lightning-fast), but you can still check out this awesome staff-designed puzzle on display!
