‘Summer reading is important’: Reading programs for all ages underway

Summer break programs at libraries across Stark County help to prevent the summer slide for students, so they're prepared to return to school in the fall.
"Summer reading is important," Stark Library literacy manager Julia Shaheen said. "It keeps kids' minds working during the summer when they are not in school lessening the summer slide."
