SearchOhio makes public library items available to the communities served by the libraries of Akron-Summit County, Cuyahoga County, Cuyahoga Falls, Greene County, Kent Free, Louisville Public Library, Massillon Public Library, Mentor Public Library, Portage County, Reed Memorial, Rodman Public Library, Stark County District Library, Toledo, Wadsworth, Warren-Trumbull, Westerville, and Youngstown. The SearchOhio portal allows direct, online requesting for residents of Ohio and delivery of books and other library media within a matter of days.

1. Begin by searching our catalog.
2. If you can’t find what you are looking for, click on:
3. When the item is located, click on “Request This Item.
4. Select your library system from the drop-down list.
Ex: For Lake Community Branch select SCDL
*All Stark County Patrons: To pick up from a Massillon location select Massillon Public Library, to pick up from the Louisville Public Library select Louisville Public Library.
5. Enter your name and library barcode.
6. Select a Pick Up location.
7. Click SUBMIT.
8. When items are due, return them to any SCDL, Louisville, or Massillon Public Library location.

Loan period is 21 days for books and audio materials.Loan period is 7 days for DVDs and other media materials.
All items can be renewed up to 3 times if not reserved by another patron.
Overdue fine is $.50 per day with a maximum of $5.00.
A charge of $25.00 per item will be charged for any item damaged or not returned.Search Ohio policies, fines and charges are determined by the Search Ohio consortium and cannot be waived or negotiated.
