The Stark County District Library's very own celebrity READ posters. Visit a library location near you and catch a glimpse of one of these posters.

The American Library Association's (ALA) Celebrity READ Campaign has been an internationally recognized program for more than 30 years. Classic posters like Mickey Mouse, Bill Cosby, George Burns, and Elvis have been joined by Hugh Laurie, the Jonas Brothers, Eva Mendes, Corbin Bleu, and Rachael Ray, to become one of the most recognized literacy campaigns today.

READ posters encourage literacy by providing images of popular people enjoying good books. ALA's Celebrity posters have now been joined by local Canton Celebrities: Board of Trustee member James M. Conley (and his granddaughters), NFL Hall of Fame Wide Receiver and former U.S. Congressman Steve Largent, musician and author Joe Vitale, Congressman John Boccieri, Library Executive Director Kent Oliver, musican Michael Stanley, Repository columnist Charita Goshay, the library's Little Theatre Troupe and Friends of the Library, and Library Board of Trustee member Wanda Young.
