One Book One Community

The Mayor’s Literacy Commission has selected the autobiographical book That’s Why I’m Here by Chris Spielman for the 2012 One Book, One Community program. Written with co-author Bruce Hooley, the book traces Spielman’s football career, then relates the story of how Spielman and his wife Stefanie faced many challenges during her lengthy battle with breast cancer. The Mayor’s Literacy Commission and co-sponsors Malone University and the Stark County District Library invite you to attend these special events and any of the book discussions.
