Executive Director Kent Oliver
Kent Oliver is the Executive Director of the Stark County District Library, a position he's held for 5 years. He came to Stark County from Johnson County Public Library outside of Kansas City and has made himself an important part of our community, serving on the board of the Canton Museum of Art, working with the Jackson Rotary, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Stark County as well as the Local Government Leadership Academy. He serves as the national chair for the American Library Association Intellectual Freedom Committee.
Under his tenure as the Executive Director, the library has formed partnerships with Plain Local Schools and another with Stark Parks, enabling our publicly funded institutions to create a synergy of resources and services to the citizens of Stark County.
