GEOGRAPHY:
1895 US Atlas - This is a good map for anywhere in the country. It doesn't show absolutely every tiny town, but it does have most of them.
Ancestry Map Center - Good maps and tutorials for using maps in your genealogy. You will need to subscribe to use it. The library's subscription doesn't include this portion of Ancestry.
GNIS Mapping - A searchable database of many different types of geographic features from airports to woods. Be patient, this one takes a while to load.
LDS Resource Guides - Printable, step-by-step guides for researching anywhere in the world and for using genealogical all types of genealogy records.
RootsWeb Town Search - Identifies county and state of U.S. towns and, by clicking on the county link, leads you to websites containing genealogical information and resources.

Census Images - A sporadic collection of census images.At least one year's census is provided for most areas of the country.Some of the areas are indexed
Census Online - The web's largest directory of links to online census transcriptions!This directory includes links to federal censuses and indexes, state and territorial censuses, tax lists, voter lists, military pensioner lists, etc.
Government Land Office Records - This site offers information on the initial transfer of land titles from the Federal government to individuals including images of original patent deeds.
Social Security Death Index - This is a searchable database of deceased persons from 1960 to the present who drew on their Social Security benefits before their death.
WPA Life Histories - These histories describe the informant's family education, income, occupation, political views, religion and mores, medical needs, diet and miscellaneous observations. Pseudonyms are often substituted for individuals and places named in the narrative texts.
