The Stark County District Library, is one of the best 100 libraries in the United States. It has served Canton and Stark County since 1884.
In 2006, The Stark County District Library Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) corporation to raise funds and financially support and advance the mission and values of the Library.
The Foundation is working to create a substantial financial endowment to assist with value-added services, programs, and capital purchases.
The Library's Strategic Plan provides a framework for library services worthy of the Foundation's financial support, especially literacy, programming, capital projects, and other service efforts
