Elbert
Hubbard (1856-1915), was a prolific writer and a tireless
entrepreneur who is most famous today as the founder and guiding
light of the Roycroft printing and craft shops. These were based
on the Hammersmith arts and crafts complex of William Morris, but
with many American and Hubbard-ian twists and turns. Until his
death on the S.S. Lusitania, he was one of the most dynamic and
