ALLDATA Automotive Repair Information is a valuable resource for automotive diagnostic and repair information.  ALLDATA includes electrical diagrams, maintenance schedules and tables, Technical Service Bulletins, recalls, and parts and labor for estimating repair costs.  Available only in the Library. Alt HealthWatch focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. Alt HealthWatch offers full text articles from  international peer-reviewed and professional journals, magazines, reports, proceedings, association and consumer newsletters, plus hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts.

American and English Full Text Literature Collections is a full text, searchable database of poetry, drama, and fiction, both classic and modern. Updated every six months.

American National Biography offers portraits of more than 17,400 men and women, from all eras and walks of life, whose lives shaped the nation. American National Biography features thousands of illustrations,  cross-references, and web sites.

America's Newspapers | NewsBank is a collection of 17 Ohio and 13 national  newspapers. Each paper provides coverage of local and regional news, including companies, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and people in the community.

Ancestry Library Edition is an online source of information for conducting genealogical and local history research.  With over 1.2 billion records in over 3,000 databases, it includes digitized images of the United States Federal Census from 1790 forward, the American Genealogical Biographical Index, Passenger and Immigration lists, and more.  Available only in the Library. Not available using the Library's wireless service.

Annals of American History Online includes original source documents, speeches, essays, biographies, and editorials about the American experience, from 1493 to the present.

ART Collection is made available by the Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO) Library, providing high-quality digital documentation of works of art from around the world and throughout history.  It includes images, text, and multimedia presentations.

Biographies Plus Illustrated is a collection of 147,000  biographies,  thousands of biographical magazine articles, and over 36,000  images.  Searches can be performed by name, profession, ethnic background, and place of birth. Updated daily.

Books In Print - Patron Edition and Books In Print - Professional Edition  provide publisher  information on books in print, forthcoming books, and books declared out-of-print or out-of-stock since 1979.  Books in Print includes full text book reviews and complete publisher information.

Britannica World Data Analyst provides detailed statistics for more than 200 countries that can be compared in tables and charts. It gives the highest and lowest statistics available.

Business Source Premier  provides full text for business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. It also includes market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles, and SWOT analysis. Updated daily.

Children's Core Collection is a guide to fiction and nonfiction, story collections, picture books, graphic novels, and magazines for readers in preschool through grade 6. Professional literature for the children's librarian, both periodicals and books, is covered. There are over 13,000 titles, including more than 3,000 analytical entries for parts of collections or anthologies. Entries offer complete bibliographic data, price, subject headings, descriptive annotations, and evaluative quotations from a review when available, The catalog also has an annotated list of recommended web resources for children and professionals working with children.

Communication & Mass Media Complete is a robust solution in areas related to communication and mass media. It incorporates the content of CommSearch and Mass Media Articles Index, in addition to numerous other journals in communication, mass media, and related fields. It offers core indexing and abstracts for more than 40 journals, and selected coverage of nearly 200 more, for a combined coverage of over 640 titles. The database has full text for 326 journals.

Computer Source provides researchers with information and current trends in  technology covering  topics such as computer science, programming, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, and software from articles as far back as 1985.

Consumer Health Complete is a resource for consumer-oriented health information, including complementary and holistic approaches. In this database is information from journals and magazines, encyclopedias, reference books, and clinical reports.

CultureGrams Online provides an insider's perspective on daily life and culture, including the history, customs, and lifestyles of the world's people. Updated annually.

Enciclopedia Universal en Espanol Online is a Spanish language encyclopedia from Encyclopedia Britannica.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Public Library Edition includes two separate areas for General/Adult Reference and Children's/Youth services. The General /Adult Reference section includes the full Encyclopaedia Britannica. The Children's/Youth section includes lower-reading-level encyclopedias and homework help features.

Environment Complete covers agriculture, ecosystems, ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine and freshwater science, geography, pollution and waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, and urban planning. Environment Complete has records from  domestic and international titles going back into the 1950s.

ERIC  provides material from the US Department of Education. It is a guide to published and unpublished sources on  educational topics, containing information from Resources In Education and Current Index to Journals In Education.

Foundation Directory Online is the nation's leading online resource for funding research, with information on over 92,000 U.S. foundations and corporate donors, 1.3 million recent grants, and more than 400,000 key decision makers. Four databases are available: grantmakers, companies, grants, and 990s. Search up to 39 fields plus keyword searching, even across all recent 990s. Foundation Directory Online is updated continually. Available only in the Library. Not available using the Library's wireless service.

Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia provides over 25,000 encyclopedia entries. Updated annually.

GreenFILE is a well-researched information source covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for approximately 295,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,600 records. 

Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition provides full text from nearly 600 scholarly journals. It also contains abstracts and indexing for over 850 journals. Updated twice a week.

HeritageQuest Online  provides the PERSI index of genealogy and local history articles, images of United States Federal Census Records for selected years, Revolutionary War records, Freedman's Bank records, and the contents of over 20,000 family and local history books.

How To Do It Information Index website is a guide to locating magazine articles that contain how-to information, instructions, plans, suggestions and tips on how to solve and prevent problems, construct projects, pursue an art, craft, hobby, etc. The How To Do It Information Index uses a controlled list of more than 6,000 subject headings. The user is assisted in locating the correct subject heading by means of more than 12,000 cross references and a corresponding number of tracings. A listing of magazine titles and issues that have been cited in the index is included. The How to Do It Information Index is an external Internet source, not associated with Stark County District Library. The index consists of citations to periodical articles, not to the full text articles themselves.

Humanities International Index is a comprehensive database covering journals, books, and other important reference sources in the humanities. It has cover-to-cover indexing and abstracting for more than 2,000 journals and contains over 2 million records.

Kids Search makes it easy for students grades K through 6 to search by keyword or topic to find the most useful search results. The help section includes tutorials to guide kids through the features of EBSCO products. A Teacher Resource section is included.

LearningExpress Library offers unlimited access to interactive courses in math, reading, and writing, as well as hundreds of online  practice tests to prepare  for several types of exams including grade school achievement tests, the SAT, GED, US Citizenship, and civil service positions.  Complete explanations accompany each answer.

LegalForms Online - Ohio provides legal forms drawn to meet the requirements of the state of Ohio.  It includes wills, power of attorney, landlord tenant, real estate and more.  Uses Word or Adobe Acrobat format.

Library Literature and Information Science Full Text indexes articles and book reviews of key library and information science periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere. Books, chapters in collected works such as conference proceedings, library school theses, and pamphlets are also indexed. Updated daily.

Literature Resource Center contains author biographies, historical context, and social implications of selected literature. In addition, literary journals contribute full-text articles and criticisms. Updated daily.

Middle and Junior High  Core Collection is a guide to fiction and nonfiction books for students in grades 5 through 9. Entries give complete bibliographic data, price, subject headings, descriptive annotations, and evaluative quotations from a review when available, The catalog has entries for recommended electronic resources. The nonfiction title list emphasizes works on technology, personal values, and current social and political issues, especially ethnic diversity. The fiction is comprised of classics and contemporary fiction, along with genre literature. Works for the librarian and media specialist are bibliographies, journals, and resources for selection and evaluation of print and non-print materials and use of the Internet in instruction.

Middle Search Plus provides full text from many magazines covering general topics for late elementary, middle, and junior high students.

Morningstar Library Edition is a comprehensive financial database for both the beginner and the expert investor.  Morningstar has financial information on over 6,000 stocks, 20,000 funds, and 150 Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Select a list of criteria to create lists of stocks, funds, and ETFs to research. Assemble selections into a portfolio.There are helpful explanatory guides, a glossary of investment terms, special topics addressed by experts, and an investing classroom.The classroom provides an interactive environment in which to learn about stocks and funds. Choose from among 150 different courses. Each course includes a five-question quiz.

National Newspapers Premier provides access to various newspapers from all over the country. Individually, each of these 27 newspapers offers readers coverage of local, area, national, or international events. New York TimesWall Street JournalChristian Science MonitorWashington Post, USA Today, Boston Globe, Atlanta Journal/Constitution, and Chicago Tribune are just some of the newspapers included in this database.

Oxford Reference Online brings together  language and subject dictionaries and reference works. Includes Oxford Dictionary of English (2nd edition revised).

Primary Search provides full text from many children's magazines and pamphlets. It is designed for the elementary school student. Updated daily.

Professional Development Collection provides a specialized collection of full text journals designed for professional educators. It includes peer-reviewed titles.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection  provides full text articles covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational/experimental methods. Updated daily.

Public Library Core Collection: Fiction features classic and contemporary works of fiction for a general adult audience, written in or translated into English. Mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, Westerns, and romance are included. There are entries for individual novels and analytic entries for novellas and novels contained in composite works. Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps provide a searchable interface for locating historical maps of Ohio towns and cities from 1867 to 1970.  These maps were digitized from microfilm copies.
